Founded in 1975, Los Angeles Mission College is the youngest of LACCD’s nine colleges. On its 22-acre campus in Sylmar, Mission College offers accessible, affordable, high-quality educational opportunities in a culturally and intellectually supportive environment.

The East Campus Complex is a new 95,300 SF building providing space for health sciences, applied sciences, and technology teaching facilities. The facility also includes a 400 space surface parking lot.

The Health and PE, Fitness Center project consists of the construction of a two-story 93,000 SF building to include classrooms, locker rooms, a gymnasium, weight fitness center, multi-purpose rooms, and faculty offices.

LEEDing the Way in Green Building

(LOS ANGELES, CA) - The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is leading the way among green buildings for educational institutions. Many of LACCD’s newest and soon to be opened campus facilities, constructed under its BuildLACCD campus improvement program, are Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) certified or higher by the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED™ designation is an internationally recognized designation for buildings that are resource efficient, use less water and energy to operate and reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions.
