West LA College

Since it opened in 1969, West Los Angeles College has served thousands of students on its 70-acre campus near Culver City. West awards more than 600 degrees and certificates annually in approximately 50 fields, including STEM areas, computer science, allied health, law and film/tv production, arts, the liberal arts, humanities, and social and behavioral sciences.

The Science and Math Building provides new facilities for four departments and a number of shared lecture halls. The project is organized into two buildings; a lab and classroom building and a dental hygiene and faculty office building.

LEEDing the Way in Green Building

(LOS ANGELES, CA) - The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is leading the way among green buildings for educational institutions. Many of LACCD’s newest and soon to be opened campus facilities, constructed under its BuildLACCD campus improvement program, are Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) certified or higher by the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED™ designation is an internationally recognized designation for buildings that are resource efficient, use less water and energy to operate and reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions.
